Last night the new members only session ran for the first time. Andy presented about why the workshops existed and also demonstrated the ROS (Robot Operating System) running on a Raspberry Pi and Contiki, a light weight operating system that can run on multiple type of devices including the Arduino. Andy has put his presentation slides here for everyone to view. The next session is going to focus more on ROS and making Arduino and python clients.
