There are a few ways to get in touch with both the committee and the general community.
General Session at the CCHS
The best way to get in touch would be to come down to one of our General Sessions! . Please check our meetup calendar for general sessions – your first two sessions are free!
Discord
We have a Discord server where we have channels for different discussion topics, share news and events, and voice chat every now and then. We’re very active and this is currently the best place to get the most up-to-date information directly from members, aside from coming down to the space.
You don’t need to be a CCHS member to join the server, so feel free to join the server to see what we’re about and ask any questions before you come down to the space.
After joining the server make sure to read the pinned posts in the readme channel which has both the rules of the server and instructions on how to unlock the other channels.
Mailing List
Our list is for general communication of all sorts since the space started. Posts of a commercial nature are not allowed unless they are from a sponsor (in which case they will come from the committee) and these are rare.
You can contact the community on our mailing list regarding a broad range of topics. You can either subscribe and communicate by email, or participate using the Google Groups web interface which is pretty good and disable any emails being sent to you (it will then work much like a forum). Our list is open to be viewed by all, however your first post may be delayed while we allow you through the moderation process.
To subscribe to the mailing list you can either visit the Connected Community Hackerspace Google Group or you can subscribe directly by sending an email to connected-community-hackerspace+subscribe@googlegroups.com with no subject. You can unsubscribe by sending an email to: connected-community-hackerspace+unsubscribe@googlegroups.com
Commercial Contact
All communications of a commercial nature are to be directed to our public officer – secretary@hackmelbourne.org.
Committee Contact
To contact the committee, please send an email to the secretary who will pass on the message – secretary@hackmelbourne.org.
