This Tuesday we were very fortunate to have with us Dr Paolo Bonato from Harvard University & SpauldingRehab. Dr Bonato presented an interesting talk on the kinds of technology required to meet the challenge of rehabilitating an aging population. Challenges outlined included 3d printing, power management, smartphone interfaces, and good design to encourage better compliance and usability. Many of these challenges are common to many modern tech projects.
A big thankyou to Darren, Angela, Raj for making this possible, and especially to Dr Bonato for taking the time to interact with us at the Hackerspace afterwards.
